U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, who was scheduled to visit the University of Virginia Thursday afternoon, had to cancel the visit Thursday morning.
Murthy had planned to speak with health care workers in the early afternoon, addressing burnout in the profession, and then to a general audience later about the importance of healthy social connections. No information was available Thursday on whether Murthy would reschedule the visit.
