As part of UVA Library’s ongoing series, the University of Virginia’s Music Library in Old Cabell Hall will be full of the sounds of jazz this Friday.

As part of the Department of Music’s ongoing series, “Making Noise in the Library,” the Dale Avenue Band will perform in the library at 1 p.m. The group formed in 2022, and plays club-style jazz and 1930s hits, as well as original compositions. 

The music department brought blues musician and doctoral student in music Corey Harris to Grounds last month. Harris has performed with the alternative country band Wilco and in Martin Scorsese’s documentary, “Feel Like Going Home.”
