Mary Margaret Frank, senior associate dean for faculty development at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, has been selected as the next dean of the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
UNC Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz made the announcement earlier this month, saying that Frank will begin her new role Aug. 15.
Frank is a Samuel A. Lewis Sr. faculty fellow, the John Tyler Professor of Business Administration and director of the Institute for Business in Society. She joined the Darden faculty in 2002.
Guskiewicz cited Frank’s qualifications as a professor, noting her academic interests include the integration of business principles and public policy objectives, cross-sector collaboration and leadership and sustainable investing. He said that, as an associate dean, she has worked with more than 100 faculty members and led efforts after the pandemic to align the school’s mission and strategy through a development plan for faculty.
