The University of Virginia鈥檚 China Office, launched in Shanghai as the University鈥檚 first overseas platform, marked its 10th anniversary Friday.

鈥溌槎蛊平獍 China Office has been successful over the past 10 years in creating interesting new opportunities for student engagement in China, including in language study through participation in last year's innovative program on the history of U.S.-Chinese ping pong diplomacy," Steve Mull, vice provost of UVA Global Affairs, said. "Beginning next academic year, our office there will expand its outreach across East Asia to explore new opportunities in other key countries in the region such as Singapore, South Korea, Japan and others, and soon become part of a broader overseas network of UVA offices in key global regions.
