News in brief: UVA president, strategic planning committee seek community’s input

The University of Virginia wants to hear from you.

If you’re a member of the University community – faculty, staff, student, alumni, family member or even just a fan – UVA President Scott Beardsley and the committee he has appointed to develop the institution’s next strategic plan want to hear your suggestions, ideas and priorities for the University’s future.

, which should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete, is part of Beardsley’s ongoing mission to learn from stakeholders in Charlottesville, across the state and throughout the country. This effort has included his , and his appointment of the planning committee to help set the course for his leadership of the University.

“This initiative will build on the foundation for crafting an institutional strategy across the academic division, UVA Health and UVA Wise for collective success against the University’s mission,” the committee said in an email sent to faculty, staff and students.

The survey closes Aug. 25.
