Like many fourth-year students at the University of Virginia, Dan Xia plans to go to medical school. But first he hopes to spend the next two years circling the globe. He especially wants to see for himself how health care is delivered in a range of places.
“I truly believe it is my calling to help people and to connect with people all around the world – whether it be through helping at health clinics, or learning about the communities, or just playing music,†he said.
