The University of Virginia celebrated the Class of 2020 virtually on May 16 – during the class’s originally scheduled graduation weekend – while planning in-person Final Exercises for a later date.

Jack Bertram, who flew 36 combat missions in World War II, including two on D-Day, turned 99 on Veteran’s Day. He was honored Tuesday at a holiday reception for local veterans at the Rugby Road home of 鶹ƽ Dr. Gregory B. Saathoff.
