News in brief: UVA tops Princeton Review’s student health ranking for third year

For the third year in a row, the Princeton Review has named the University of Virginia’s student health services No. 1 in its Best Colleges rankings, released Tuesday morning.

In June, the Princeton Review ranked UVA the No. 2 best value public university in the country. The education services company’s latest rankings highlight the top 25 colleges in 50 categories, including best dorms and college cities.

Student Health Services

The Princeton Review surveyed 170,000 students who attend the schools listed in its new book, “The Best 391 Colleges: 2026 Edition.”

UVA offers medical and disability services, mental health and well-being support and research opportunities.

Student Health and Wellness is in a state-of-the-art, 156,000-square-foot building on Brandon Avenue. The center records 65,000 student visits each academic year, and 80% of UVA students agree health and well-being are a priority.

Student Health and Wellness is preparing to welcome the Class of 2029 and has compiled to start the school year right.
