The University of Virginia’s Class of 2030 and transfer students gathered Sunday on the Lawn for the annual Opening Convocation ceremony, officially introducing them to the University, its honor system and their peers.
Rows of seats lined the Lawn facing the Rotunda as students gathered to experience one of the first of many UVA traditions.
“What I’m excited about for Convocation is to hear all of the speeches and to watch the performances,” first-year College of Arts & Sciences student Varun Srinivasan said.
